New York, NY - The City College of New York men's track & field program closed the 2022 CUNY Athletic Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, finishing in second place with 180 points.
Lehman College won the men's team title, totaling 202 points. Hunter College finished third with 116 points, while York College rounded out the team standings with 55 points.
Sophomore
Habibu Gado finished the day with two top-five performances. He won the high jump with a height of 5.81m and placed fifth in the discus throw with a personal-best toss of 25.91m. Freshman
Tyler Gaston medalled in a men's hammer throw, placing third with a toss of 28.52m.
Freshman
Jason Asamoah finished fourth overall in the discus throw, recording a personal-best mark of 27.45m. Freshman
Antonio Oliviera-Nurse turned in a fifth-place performance in the triple jump with a leap of 9.12m. Freshman
Andrew Ciprian finished fifth overall in the hammer with a personal-best performance of 16.68m.
Up next, the CCNY track & field program will compete at the 2022 ECAC Outdoor Championship on May 18-19, held at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn.
