New York, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team earned their first win of the New Year on Wednesday night, defeating Medgar Evers College at home 60-47. The Beavers improve to 3-111 overall, and 1-3 in CUNYAC play with the win.
Freshman
Anna Vikatos had a signature performance, netting a new career-high 30 points. She shot a season-high 57.1 percent from the floor, draining four three-pointers while adding five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Sophomore
Kasia Morrison finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists, seven steals, and a block. Junior
Monae Laing collected her sixth double-double of the season with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
Sophomore
Leondra Craig tallied four points, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals in the win.
Joscelyn Ramos contributed two points, three rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
The Beavers return to action on Friday, January 12, visiting York College at 5:00 pm.
