Newark, NJ - On Saturday, The City College of New York women's cross country team competed at the 2023 Highlander XC Challenge, hosted by NJIT at Branch Brook Park.

Freshman Isabelle Ashpole led the Beavers, running a season-best time of 25:30.4 in the 5K race. Freshman Lizbeth Diaz was the Beaver's second top finisher, logging a time of 25:46.5, a season-best. Freshman Camille Carrasco clocked an improved time of 29:41.5, while freshman Maisha Islam finished the course in a new personal-best time of 31:50.2.

Next, the CCNY cross country program will compete at the SJLI Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, NY.
