Queens, NY - The City College of New York women's track & field team opened the 2023 outdoor season on Saturday at the Queens College Invitational.
Sophomore
Serena Warner finished the day with a pair of top-three finishes, taking first place in the discus throw (28.53m) and third overall in javlin (21.07m). Sophomore
Stephanie Toussaint took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 8.42m.

Aakaysha Williams ran to a fourth-place finish in the 1500 meter (6:08.50), while sophomore
Sandra Lu placed seventh in a time of 6:36.14. In the 800-meter run, sophomore
Zara McPartland clocked a time of 2:51.24 to place fifth.
Sophomore
Johanni Valerio placed sixth in the 400-meter run, while freshman
Zuha Khan ran a time of 15.78.
Next, the CCNY track & field will compete at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational on Sunday, April 2.
