Kings Point, NY - The City College of New York women's track and field team competed at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational on Sunday, earning a 13th-place team finish overall.
Freshmen
Angelina Brown and
Flor Dominguez earned top-10 finishes in the 400m hurdles. Brown took fifth overall in the personal-best time of 1:26.73, while Dominguez ran a time of 1:37.95.
Junior
Leondra Craig placed fifth in the javelin throw with a toss of 24.30m and ninth in the high jump with a hop of 1.30m. She also had personal-best performances in the shot put (7.66m) and the hammer throw (13.17m).
Freshman
Camille Carrasco placed third overall in the unseeded section of the 100m dash, clocking a time of 14.92, while also collecting personal-best in the 200m (30.97) and 400m dashes (1:12.30).
Freshman
Isabelle Ashpole finished 10th overall in the 5000m run.
The Beavers 4x100m relay team of Carrasco, Dominguez,
Samantha Johnson, and
Christine Sandy placed seventh overall, combining to run 1:02.36.
Next, the Beavers will compete at the Queens College Knights Invite on Friday, April 12.
