Box Score Jamaica, NY - The City College of New York women's basketball team earned its first victory of the season with an impressive 73-40 win against York College Wednesday night.
With the win, the Beavers improve to 1-3 in CUNY Athletic Conference play and 1-8 overall.
Senior Anais Rosa finished with a season-high 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the victory. Freshman Ashley Subervi notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, along with two assists, three steals, and a block. Senior Kasia Morrison posted 12 points, three rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Junior Joscelyn Ramos added a season-high 15 points, two rebounds, and a block, while Freshman Yazmin Loma Romero dished five assists. Freshman Amanda Fisher totaled six points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore Ashley Colon finished with four points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Next, the Beavers host Hunter College on Friday, January 17. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 p.m. at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
