Men's Basketball Dominates Touro College

Box Score The City College of New York men's basketball team dominated Touro College 94-41 on Monday evening in Nat Holman Gymnasium.

CCNY started off on an 8-0 run to begin the game. Touro College quickly came back and tied the game 12-12, but was unable to make much more noise in the first half. City continued to take control of the half with support for the whole team.

Ram Chada led the Beavers with 10 points in the first half, while Mark Richards led with seven rebounds.  City shot an impressive .425 from the field and .727 from the charity stripe. They held Touro to a .269 field goal percentage in the first half. CCNY went into the locker room with a comfortable 48-19 lead.

City continued to dominate in the second half as they ran up the score. While their shooting percentage went down to .385 in the second half, the Beavers still managed to score 46 points in the second half. Touro scored 22 points in the second half as compared to their 19 in the first half.

City forced 21 turnovers and turned that into 26 of their 94 points. Robbie Dionsio and Salvatore Palazzolo both notched double-doubles in the victory. Palazzolo had 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Dionsio tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ram Chada added 12 points and David Solano recorded 11 points. The team shot .405 from the field in the victory.

The Beavers will take on CUNYAC opponent, York, on Saturday, December 4 at York College Courts.
