Glassboro, NJ - The City College women's cross country program took to the field Saturday morning at the Rowan Inter Regional Border Battle, placing 44th in the 5K. The Beavers sent seven runners to the course, with Junior Ashley Crandall leading all runners.
Junior Ashley Crandall crossed the line first for Beaver with a time of time of 25:28.0. Freshmen Paige Belleville crosses next (27:03.7) followed by , freshmen Lucy Piacrntii (29:49.2), Sophomore Yanelle Serrano (31:24.7), Junior Ricki Lam (32:21.1), Sophomore Iryna Stashuk (33:42.3) and Sophomore Angela Oei (36:47.0) rounded out the CCNY competitors.
The women's team also qualified for NCAA Regional meet by running a team best average time of 29:37.3
The Beavers will now set their sights on the CUNYAC Championships in two weeks. The Beavers look to capture the conference championship on Sunday, Oct. 30th Van Courtlandt Park.
