Montclair, N.J. - The CCNY men's basketball team hits the road this weekend for a trip to Montclair, New Jersey for the 2018 Ollie Gelston Classic, hosted by Montclair State University.
The team will face off with Moravian College on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 pm in their first of two games of the tournament. Moravian College is coming off of a 0-2 start to the season, dropping contest to John Hopkins, 81-75 (Nov. 8) and William Patterson 78-75.
Continuing play on Saturday, Nov. 17, the Beavers close out the weekend taking on the Red Hawks of Montclair State at noon. The Red Hawks enter the weekend with a recent victory over the College of Staten Island, 84-70 (Nov. 8).
Last Time Out:
The men's basketball program started off the 2018-19 season dropping a non-conference tilt to Maritime College, 91-84. The Lavender & Black were led in the game by junior
Ty-Ler Banks' double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds. Senior guard
Mike White chipped in 18 points, hitting 5-of-9 from behind the arc.
