About Play4Kay
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is a charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Since its founding in 2007 in honor of former North Carolina State head coach Kay Yow, $5.38 million has been granted for scientific research and related programs focused on women's cancers. The "pink phenomenon" in women's basketball began during the 2004-05 season, and Play4Kay was originally called Think Pink and Pink Zone.
