New York, NY - The City College of New York Department of Athletics announces coaching changes to the men's and women's basketball programs.

"I would like to thank Coach Angeli and Coach Dail for their commitment to their respective programs," said Director of Athletics, Lydia V. Travis.

Effective Immediately, Paul Dail has stepped down from his role as head men's basketball coach, after two seasons leading the program. After being appointed as head coach for the  2017-18 season, he improved the program's cumulative grade-point average to a 3.00.

After five seasons leading the Beavers women's basketball program, Jamie Angeli will be focusing on his full-time administrative role as the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing.

During Angeli's tenure at the helm, the program compiled a 66-68 overall record. Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator, Jeremy Thompson has been retained to continue recruiting efforts for the program.

"We look forward to Jamie's transition as we expand our community partnerships, in-game promotional and marketing efforts and campus and community visibility. We also wish Coach Dail the best of luck in his future professional endeavors," said Travis. 

A national search for each program will begin immediately.
