New York, NY – In their first home game of the 2022-23 season opener, The City College of New York women's basketball team earned their first win of the season, defeating Pratt Institute, 56-50, at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
The Beavers move to 1-2 overall with the win, securing Head Coach Varrell Eddie's first victory at the helm at CCNY.
Junior
Monae Laing led CCNY with a double-double, tallying 17 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in the win. Sophomore
Kasia Morrison finished with a season-high 15 points, along with three steals. Freshman
Joscelyn Ramos added a career-high 12 points, connecting on six-of-11 shots in the game while collecting five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Freshman
Anna Vikatos finished the night with nine points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals, three blocks. Sophomore
Leondra Craig chipped in three points, five rebounds, and four steals.
Next, the Beavers return to action on Saturday, November 19, traveling to take on Western Connecticut State at 1:00 p.m.
