New York, NY – A CUNYAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament are on the line on Saturday, as the No. 2 seed City College of New York women's soccer team is set to take on John Jay College in the 2022 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship.
Head Coach Louis Manoussos and the Beavers will look to hoist up the program's third conference championship, the program's first since 2012.

Postseason History
No strangers to each other, CCNY and John Jay will meet in the CUNYAC postseason for the third time in the last four seasons. John Jay holds the advantage in the three postseason meetings, with the Bloodhounds defeating the Beavers last in the championship match in 2019.
Looking at the Beavers
- Second-seeded CCNY (14-3-1) advanced to the finals with a 4-0 shutout win over Brooklyn College in the semifinals on Saturday, October 29.
- Junior Skylar Parker has powered the Beaver's offense this season, registering a staggering 25 goals and 12 assists, ranking atop the conference. Junior Cassidy Canberg will also be a key contributor for the Beavers, ranking within the top 10 in goals (5) and assists (8) this season.
- Sophomore Laura Villatoro and MacKenzie Moreno have each made their presence felt on the offensive end this year, each tallying nine goals, sitting among the top-five goal scorers in the conference. Villatoro also ranks fourth in the league in assists, while Moreno has dished five helpers this season.
- Junior Nicole Magretta, a two-time All-Conference defender, will anchor the Beaver's defense that has recorded nine shutouts this season.
- Freshman goalkeeper Amelia Cataldo has been one of the league's top keepers this season, starting in 10 matches (7-2-1) and boasts a 1.120 goals against average in addition to ranking first among league goalkeepers in save percentage (.780) and second in shutouts (5).
Scouting the Bloodhounds
- The John Jay Bloodhounds clinched the regular-season title and top seed in the Tournament for the third straight season, entering Saturday's match with an 11-2-2 overall record.
- The Bloodhounds advanced to the championship game for the fourth consecutive season, defeating Lehman on Saturday in the semifinals, 4-0.
- Graduate student Katie Healy has led the Bloodhounds this season with ten goals and nine assists. Freshman Mikayla Schoch has tallied eight goals, while Kayla Kelly has totaled six goals, each ranking within the conference's top 10.
- The Bloodhounds goalkeeper Alexa Pyatsky has started in all 13 matches for John Jay, owning a 1.019 goals against average and a .764 save percentage to go along with a league-best seven shutouts.
