New York, NY - The City College of New York women's basketball fell on Sunday to No. 2 John Jay College, 64-24, in the quarterfinals of the 2022 CUNY Athletic Conference Basketball Championships.
Sophomore Monae Laing finished the game with her tenth double-double, with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Freshman Fatoumata Nantoume finished with six points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Shanyah Lander posted two points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Freshman Charlotte Foberg recorded eight rebounds and four assists, while Theresa Luna had four points and three rebounds, and Leondra Craig picked up three rebounds.
The Bloodhounds outshot the Beavers 37.1%-19.6% in the contest.
The loss drops the Beavers to 0-17 on the season.
