New York, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team fell to John Jay College, 97-50, on the road in CUNY Athletic Conference action on Saturday night. 

The Beavers drop to 0-13 (0-9 CUNYAC) with the loss on the season.

Sophomore Monae Laing led the Beavers with 12 points and 13 rebounds, tallying her eighth double-double of the year. Freshman Fatoumata Nantoume added 16 points, netting four-of-eight from long range, and pulled s=down six rebounds. 

Freshman Leondra Craig posted five points, three rebounds, and two blocks. Sophomore Shanyah Lander chipped in four while freshman Theresa Luna had three rebounds and two steals of her own. Freshman Charlotte Foberg made her return to the court, contributing four points, five assists, and three steals.

Next, the Beavers resume play on Wednesday, Feb. 9, traveling to Jamaica, NY, to take on the York College Cardinals at 5:30 p.m.
