                     New York, NY - The City College of New York men's track and field team won its 12th consecutive CUNY Athletic Conference Indoor Championship on Sunday at the Nike Track & Field at the Armory. The Beavers edged out rival Lehman by one point to earn conference bragging rights for the 14th time in program history.
Junior 
Habibu Gado was named the meet's Most Valuable Performer for the third consecutive year, collecting six individual gold medals. Gado led the Beavers, earning first-place finishes in the high jump (1.58m), long jump (6.17m), and 400m (50.33) events, while turning in the top four-year college times in the 200m (22.80), 60mH (9.31), and 60m (7.30) races.
Sophomore 
Adam Tarsia reached the top of the podium twice, winning the mile run (4:50.46) and the 5000m run (16:54.60).
In the weight throw, freshman 
Muhamed Suso took second with a personal-best throw of 12.48m, while sophomore 
Tyler Gaston placed third overall with a career-best throw of 12.46m. In the shot put, Gaston finished in fourth place (10.36m), while Suso garnered a fifth-place finish (10.15m).
Sophomore 
Antonio Oliveira-Nurse took second in the triple jump with a jump of 11.16m and ran to a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles (10.02). Sophomore 
Kyle Byron placed fifth in the 200m dash (24.45), sophomore 
William Smith took fifth in the long jump (5.40m), junior 
Damian Rivera placed sixth in the 800m run (2:37.24), and 
Edy Morales finished sixth in the mile (5:17.77).
In the relays, the Beavers 4x400 meter relay team of 
Kamunga Kalala, Oliveira-Nurse, Byron, and Gado earned a first-place finish in a season-best time of 3:41.59. CCNY's Distance Medley Relay team of 
Ryan Fong, Kalala, Rivera, and Morales finished second out of the senior colleges, clocking a combined time of 14:13.24.
