KINGS POINT, NY – The CCNY women's track & field team competed on Sunday at 2018 Coach O Invitational hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Freshman
Avery Maillet highlighted the meet with a impressive mark in the women's long jump.
Maillet won the women's long jump, landing a new personal-best jump of 5.80m, 19' 0.25", the fourth longest collegiate mark in the nation. Maillet also won the triple jump by leaping 10.64m, 34' 11" and placed second in both the 100-meters (13.13) and 200-meters (26.95).
Senior
Cassie Gibbons won the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.97, while also earning first place in the 200m dash, crossing the finish line in 26.48.
Lucy Piacentini netted an ECAC qualification in the women's long jump jumping personal mark of 4.97m, 16' 3.75". She ran another personal time of 17.65 in the 100m hurdles and earned a victory in the 400m hurdles, running 1:09.21.
Senior
Zyare Brown and Piacentini each jumped a height of 1.40m in the high jump.
Irishvarsha Iyyadurai had a jump of 4.89m, 16' 0.5 in the long jump and ended with a mark of 0.56m, 34' 7.75" in the triple jump.
Freshman
Tia Tyrell added a new season-best time in the 800 meters, clocking 2:55.52.
